C3 – Write Texts
Goal: Write different types of texts (emails, descriptions, stories, etc.).
Strategies:
- Plan before writing (outline or brainstorm).
- Look at models for inspiration.
- Think of your audience (reader).
- Revise: spelling, verbs, sentence structure.
- Add connectors: and, but, because, first, then, finally.
Example: When writing about your weekend: First, I played hockey. Then, I watched a
movie. Finally, I ate pizza with my family.
C3 Practice (Writing)
- Write 5 sentences about your weekend using first, then, after that, finally.
- Describe your best friend using 3 adjectives.
- Write a short email to your teacher asking a question.
